| Dr. Hayat M. Awan, is Professor of Operations Research.He holds master’s degree from the University of Karachi.He did MS and Ph.D. from the University of Toronto, Canada. His major areas of specialization are quantitative methods, operations Research, operations/ prodution management and quality management. With varied teaching, research and administrative position, Prof.Dr. Hayat.Awan has had a checkered career spanning three decades. He is one of the senior most professors of the university. He started his career in 1974 as a lecture in the University of Karachi. His expertise in research and teaching ranges from holding research associate ship and visiting professorship in world renowned universities like University of Toronto, Canada and University of Wisconsin-Madison, USA, in the years 1979-82.He is member of a number of learned and professional bodies . | Dr. Mushtaq
Ahmad Klasra after graduating from the Department of Economics, BZU,
started his career with a marketing related organization as an Assistant
Director (Marketing). He later, after availing the opportunity of
Chevening Scholarship, did his M.Sc in Food Marketing from the University
of Wales, Aberystwyth, UK in 1991.Dr. Klasra did his Ph.D from the
Ankara University, Turkey in the field of Agri. Marketing. Before
joining IMS, Dr. Klasra was teaching in Turkey. He has more than 9
years of teaching experience of graduate and undergraduate level.His
major areas of interest are Applied Econometrics, Agricultural Marketing
and Trade, Marketing Research and International Marketing/Business.
Dr. Klasra has about a dozen of research papers published in various
journals of international repute. |

| Mr. Azeem Qureshi brings vast professional and teaching experience to this department. He has served National Investment Trust Limited for over seven years: as Assistant Chief Manager (1990-93) and then as Chief Manager (1994-97); responsible for TFCs and IPO investments. He joined this institute as Assistant Professor in February 1997. His PhD project entitled Stock Market Development Equity Investment and Financing Choices of Firms Abase Study of Pakistan is at advance stage of completion. His research interests are capital markets in Pakistan and corporate financé. | |

| He has received his MBA from IBA Karachi Majoring in MIS in 1990 and PGD (system Analysis) from the same institute in 1988. He has also submitted his Ph.d thesis since 2006 and waiting for his defense. His area of reseacrh relates to ERP systems and their impacts on management efficiency of banking and manufacturing organizations. He started his career with Nissan Motors Ltd and has been working as Assistant Manager- Finace. He has also been working as Manager Finance/Accounts and head of MIS for a leading insurance company of Pakistan i.e State Life Insurance for 4 years and 1 year on the same capacity in a well known textile group of Pakistan. Besides having vast industry experience he has about 16 years of teaching experience at IBA Karachi and IMS-BZU as a part and full-time faculty memebr. His main areas of interest are E-Commerec, ERP System, , Human Resource Management, and Management. He has presented his various papers in local and international confrences and his many researh papers are under publications in different international journals. | |
